Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist for Respiratory Outpatients and Long Covid
Part-time 31.5hrs
12 month fixed term post or secondment
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Long Covid Multi-Disciplinary Team working at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester. The service is looking for a passionate and creative individual who can help patients with Breathing Pattern Disorders. This role is based in physiotherapy outpatients at Glenfield Hospital as part of an established team.
Main duties of the job
To be the responsible physiotherapist for the assessment and treatment of adults with Breathing Pattern Disorders and long term respiratory conditions. Seeing Post COVID pts in the COVID clinic, working alongside Nurse specialists, Respiratory Consultants and the COVID pulmonary rehab team. Treating patients with a focus on breathing re-training for Breathing Pattern Disorders, chest clearance techniques, individualised programmes of care and fatigue management. You will follow these patients up in Physio outpatients, working alongside and supported by our current respiratory out-patient team.
