We are looking for an experienced chest reporting radiographer to join the existing reporting radiographer and senior managerial team at UHL. As a clinical leader you will possess excellent managerial skills and be able to provide quality mentorship, underpinned by well-developed reporting experience. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, and be committed to providing high quality reports.
The role involves occasional weekend and out of hours work.
Main duties of the job
The duties and responsibilities of the post holder are to lead and develop the delivery of the chest radiographer reporting service at all three of the main hospital sites of UHL. As we continue to grow the service in response to the service needs, you will work closely with the cardiothoracic radiologist team to provide education for trainee reporting radiographers and development of the chest reporting service. In return you can look forward to being part of a team, providing nationally and internationally renowned specialist services in cardio-respiratory diseases, ECMO, cancer and renal disorders.
The post will be supported by the senior management team in Imaging, the consultant radiographer team and chest reporting radiographers. UHL has a well-developed and well supported diverse advanced practice skill set in cross modality reporting and non-reporting extended scope
The lead chest reporting radiographer will have exposure to complex case discussion and to the subspecialty radiologist teams and consultant practitioners. This will provide the support required for both knowledge and career development in reporting. They will also be involved in senior managerial decision making as part of the role.

- Ensure that the department provides for the safe, effective and high quality care for all patients.
