Associate Practitioner Mammographer (Qualified or Trainee)

Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, compassionate individual who is a qualified Associate/Assistant Practitioner in Mammography.
You will need experience in performing mammography working with patients as part of the NHS Breast Screening Programme, Symptomatic service (2 week wait GP referral), Surveillance and Family History programme. The successful applicant will need to have a passion for working to the highest standard to join our dedicated highly trained team and hold a manual full UK driving licence.
A training post will be considered and the successful candidate will be provided with specialist mammography training to achieve the Mammography Associate Apprenticeship award through an approved provider. For those who are on Band 3 or below this post will be a Band 3 Training post with progression to Band 4 on completion.
Our breast screening programme is one of the largest in the East Midlands and one of the largest in England. Our Breast Screening population is 160,000. In addition to the screening activity our symptomatic and surveillance demand is approximately 17,000 per year.
We are a centre that is actively involved in clinical trials and have successfully secured Tomosynthesis along with Contrast Enhanced Digital Mammography.

Main duties of the job
To undertake routine mammography examinations within Breast Imaging according to protocols and own scope of practice. To adhere to departmental regulations with regard to (IR(ME)R 2017 procedures and local rules of practice.
To plan, organize and priorities own patient workload.
To perform regular quality control tests on the X-ray equipment (mobile and static) and ensure that the results are accurately recorded.
