Job summary

We are looking for a full-time member of staff to join our Neonatal admin team. You will be part of a team of coordinators who offer referral and admin services for our neonatal and BCG teams. You will need to have a flexible approach and a commitment to working as part of a team. To perform well in this position you will need to be reliable, a good team player, be able to use your initiative, prioritise your workload, work to tight deadlines whilst dealing with frequently changing priorities and be willing to learn and undertake training and development as the role requires. Excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be in contact with a range of staff and patients. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated, enjoy working in a challenging, busy environment and will have experience of working in a busy customer focused environment. You should have an excellent customer service background as well as good keyboard skills and proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. This is an excellent opportunity to build on and develop existing administrative and clerical skills. Main duties of the job

  • To be responsible and accountable for Obstetric and Neonatal clinics and for the provision of patient case notes.

  • To ensure and deliver a Patient Pathway in accordance with Local and National Guidelines in relation to Referral to Treatment (RTT).

  • To ensure accurate and timely data quality through effective use of the HISS, E3, NIPE and Patientcentre systems.

  • To work as part of the team, being totally responsible for the appointments, preparation, and smooth administration of all aspects of designated clinics and to provide a high-quality service to both clinicians and patients.

  • To ensure that complete, accurate and timely appointments are booked and recorded on the computerised systems to the highest quality standards, in accordance with national and trust guidelines.

  • Effective communication with the clinical teams advising of problems or issues arising that may impact on the running of their clinic.
