Job summary
We are looking for two highly-motivated people to join the ENT team as Team Leaders to support the Administration Managers. Based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, the ENT department is a growing, fast-paced service and we are looking for someone to take on the roles of team leaders to the administrative team in outpatients and inpatients. ENT are part of the exciting expansion into the EMPCC in December 2024. You will have at least 3 years' administrative experience, preferably within a large organisation or medical setting and will have experience of dealing with patients or customers. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of patient pathways, in particular cancer and RTT pathways and will have some experience of the various IT systems we use (i.e. HISS, Patient Centre, ORMIS, DIT3). Previous line management experience would be an advantage, as would knowledge of some of the current Trust policies and procedures. You will need to be able to use your own initiative and to work autonomously whilst motivating the team. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hard-working and positive.
Main duties of the job
This is an excellent career development opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual. You will need to have experience of working in a busy clinical environment within the NHS with the ability to manage a busy workload and be able to prioritise.
Management of the administration teams. Close supervision and monitoring of the waiting lists for outpatients/inpatientsto ensure that under service development and improvement quality standards are met. Coordinate admin team workloads to ensure that both the 18 week RTT target is met on a monthly basis. This will involve ensuring delivery to agreed standards and maximising productivity of staff equally within the service. Supporting the Administration Managers with reports, attending meetings and deputising when they are not available.
