An exciting opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Assistants to join the UHL Community Outpatients service. The successful candidates will become part of the team within the existing Hinckley Outpatients department and within the brand new state of Community Diagnostic centre.
The HinckleyCommunity Diagnostic Centre (CDC) will be a brand-new purpose-built two floor health facility situated in the heart of Hinckley. The CDC will operate 7 days a week and will offer an extensive set of diagnostic services including imaging, cardio-respiratory, audiology, phlebotomy and endoscopy to meet the healthcare needs of the local population of Hinckley and its surrounding areas. Main duties of the job
We need highly motivated Healthcare Assistants to join us in this evolving team, CDC Outpatients team will support activity from General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, dermatology, phlebotomy and ENT services.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
- Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
- Working as an effective team member and promoting team and interdisciplinary relationships

- The Health Care Assistant will be an integral member of the ward / department team working through close but not direct supervision of a registered practitioner.
- The Senior Health Care Assistant is responsible for providing personal and clinical care, undertaking clinical observations and other interventions as delegated by the registered practitioner and in accordance with existing competencies.
- The Senior Health Care Assistant will ensure that their practice is guided by standard operating procedures and established policies and guidelines. They will demonstrate self-directed development, recognising own limitations, and work within the scope of their role at all times.
- The Senior Health Care Assistant will act in a manner that upholds privacy, dignity, respect and confidentiality for patients and colleagues.
