Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and keen individual to join our dynamic Capital Finance team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust as a Capital Assistant
We are looking for an ambitious individual who can work independently and within a team, who is proactive and possess strong communication skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Capital Accountant in all areas within Capital, specifically capital reporting and maintaining the trust asset register. The individual is required to be proactive, organised and establish excellent working relationships.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the monthly capital reporting, which includes, capital additions, disposals, donations, depreciation and assets under construction.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the asset register and ensuring it reconciles to the general ledger.
- Assisting with the timely production of monthly capital reports.
- Liaising with internal and external audit.
- Assisting in the annual capital planning process.
