We have an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Support and Imaging management group as lead for Dietetic and Nutrition and Speech and Language.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader who is interested in a role that involves strategic leadership, innovation, operational delivery, partnership working and people development. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and influence the dietetic and nutrition and speech and language agendas across the Trust and System as we work to support the delivery our new trust strategy.
Spilt across 3 hospital sites (Leicester Royal Infirmary, Glenfield Hospital, Leicester General Hospital) the role will provide leadership for three distinct specialist services of 70 Dietetic staff, 4 Nutrition Nurses, 30 Speech and Language staff.
You will work with your teams to support and drive change and transformation to deliver high quality care to our communities. We look to develop our AHP services working in partnership with colleagues from across the organisation.
You will support the leads of the specialisms of Dietetics and Nutrition and Speech and Language Therapy. You will be professionally supported by the Trusts Chief AHP and will work closely with other AHP Leaders in both the organisation and from across the Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland AHP system supporting the AHP Council and Faculty.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead and manage a team of staff in providing the highest standard of patient care, thus enabling us to achieve ambition and purpose for both the Trust and our developing Integrated Care System (ICS) and Integrated Care Board (ICB). Your portfolio will include Quality and Safety, People, Performance and Operations and Finance.
You will be specifically responsible for the operational, professional and strategic leadership for the UHL Dietetic and Nutrition and Speech and Language Services and in doing so will:

Ensure the achievement of the Dietetic and Nutrition and Speech and Language Therapy Service's performance targets.

Drive through changes to ensure that clinical outcomes and patient experiences within the Dietetic and Nutrition and Speech and Language Therapy Services continually improve.

Support and develop the individual leadership teams to achieve their full potential and to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.

Develop and implement Dietetic and Nutrition and Speech and Language Therapy Service Strategies within UHL and work with colleagues across LLR and Integrated Care Board (ICB), supporting the integration agenda.

Ensure each service's commitment and participation in quality improvement/audit and clinical research
