Scrub Assistant ( HCA) Vascular Access Service
37.5 hours 1 x WTE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a flexible, motivated, enthusiastic and committed HCA /Scrub Assistant. Band 3
We would like to attract individuals with an interest in working within the Vascular Access Speciality. Experienced HCA's, preferably with care certificate and cannulation skills are invited to apply. We are offering a training opportunity to HCA's who would like to train to support our small friendly team of Specialist Practitioners.
Candidates will required train to work along side our practitioners to support the insertion of all vascular access devices, you will gain experience of working with an environment where infection prevention is a high priority and you will be expected to participate fully clinically and support the team in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients. including care and maintenance of lines. cannulation skills would be preferred however training could be offered to the right candidate.

Main duties of the job
Successful candidates will participate fully in clinical and administration roles to support the Vascular Access Team in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients. Cannulation skills would be preferred however training could be offered to the right candidate
Candidates that do not currently have scrub skills, will be supported to progress through a buddy system to enabling them to support the team and patients fully in a caring and empathetic way.
