Palliative Care Administrator/Clinic Co-ordinator

Job summary

The post holder will provide an efficient, confidential and professional administration support service to the Specialist Palliative Care Team.

This will include administration and co-ordination of a patient's pathway from receipt of referral through to the outpatient clinic, addition of waiting lists through to final discharge from service and general administration to the Team to enable provision of patient care and speciality services. Good communication with patients, relatives, general practitioners and other hospital and hospice staff is essential to ensure a proficient high quality service for patients and clinicians.

The post holder will be expected to work as part of an administrative support team, providing cross cover to all Trust hospital sites as necessary and will report to the administration manager.

  • RSA Level II or speed typing qualification or demonstrable experience
