Job summary

We are looking for Registered Nurses or Registered Nursing Associates who have a passion for delivering effective , high standards of direct patient care to our diverse range of patients within specialist Medicine .Our teams also include nurses from Adult, Learning Disability and Mental health backgrounds.

We have posts available at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and the Leicester General Hospital

Our specialties include:

  • Acute stroke unit and stroke rehab
  • General medicine
  • Infectious diseases unit
  • Neurology
  • Care of the older person

Prior experience in the area is not essential.

Full and Part Time Band 5 posts available, nights only and flexible working request can be considered.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of evidenced-based nursing care to a group of patients.
  • Assisting and contributing in the management and organisation of a ward / clinical area.
  • Actively contribute to setting and maintaining high standards of quality nursing care.
  • Actively participate in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.
  • Act as a clinical and professional role model, assessing and supporting students and learners on placement within the clinical area.
  • Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
