A fantastic opportunity has arisen on the Cardiac Surgery Ward at the Glenfield Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to provide efficient support.

Cardiac Surgery is a 25 bedded unit providing care for critically ill patients and elective surgical patients.

The post provides an exciting challenge to the successful candidateand gives the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the needs of Patients, multi-disciplinary team and relatives.

You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise across multi agencies and multi-disciplinary departments.

Experience of working with the general public is essential.

The ability to work independently and adapt to an environment of changing priorities is an essential component to consistently facilitate a patient focused approached.

Main duties of the job

We require a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as the Housekeeper within the Cardiac Surgery ward at Glenfield Hospital.This role includes the undertaking of daily organisation, maintaining stock levels, providing meals to the patients and cleanliness of the environment.

You will be working with a fantastic and supportive team who will be happy to assist you as settle within the team. Regular feedback and one-to-one will be provided by your manager to ensure that you stay happy in your job.

Duties include stocking up, maintenance of equipment, also including general housekeeping of the unit.It is essential that you are able to work in an orderly and systematic manner, possess good literacy, IT, numeracy, communication and organisational skills.

You should have a caring attitude, as well as the ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multidisciplinary team.
