Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, compassionate and motivated Band 4 Nursing Associate to work at the Loughborough Dialysis Unit caring for 74 hemodialysis patients across 6 days per week. The unit is open Mondays to Saturday 06:30 - 23:00hrs. The unit is closed overnight and on Sundays The unit is also closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day. You will be expected to be flexible across all shifts.

Our shift patterns are:

Early 06.30-14.30/07.00-15.00/07.00-18.00

Late 12.00-23.00/15.00-23.00

You will be part of a team of nurses and renal care assistants providing hemodialysis treatment to 74 patients based in Loughborough. You will be a named nurse to a group of patients, completing their care plans, working with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care.

Previous experience in Renal/ Hemodialysis is desirable but not essential, as full in-house training and support will be given.

The team you will be joining is dedicated to training of both staff and patients. The management team is highly visible within the unit.

Main duties of the job

To provide and monitor safe, person centred care for a desginated group of patients, service users and families under the direction of a Registered Nurse, without direct supervision, in line with agreed paln of care.

To support the registered nurse in the contribution to ongoing assessment and care planning for patients.

To promote health and prevent ill health in patients and service users and contribute to integrated care.

Actively contribute to setting and maintaining high standards of quality nursing care.

The Nursing Associate will actively contribute to an effective learning environment and support others in their learning.
