Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Assistant HR Advisor, following the internal promotion of the previous post-holder; to develop their experience in a challenging and rewarding environment here at University Hospital Leicester.We are looking for an experienced; customer orientated Assistant HR Advisor to join our specialised Employment Relations Team.

An Assistant HR Advisor will be responsible for delivering high quality generalist support to our successful Helpdesk service and provide wider administrative support to the team who advise and support our People Service function.

We are looking for someone who thrives working in a fast paced, dynamic specialist environment and takes pride in delivering a professional service to various employees within the Trust. As an Assistant HR Advisor you will operate in accordance with best practice, local policy and our Trust Values.

You should have a good understanding of or a keen interest in employment legislation, HR best practice, and experience of a range of administrative and clerical procedures, .

Your communication skills will be of a high standard alongside team working skills, an ability to build credibility quickly and have a flexible approach to your role.

Bringing a understanding of employment relations issues with them the successful candidates will be fully qualified to at least CIPD Level 3 ( or equivalent experience ) and have recent demonstrable experience in a Generalist HR/Administrative function.

Main duties of the job

To support the Employee Relations (ER) team to deliver a professional, comprehensive and timely HR service ensuring the operational function delivers consistent and quality service within defined quality standards.

Develop excellent working relationships with the wider HR team, members of staff and other managers within UHL to offer support and guidance as appropriate and undertake tasks as delegated to support the ER team.

Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver a seamless service.
