Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Cardiology specialty as a Staff Nurse. The Glenfield site prides itself its cardiology services, and we are looking for Qualified Nurses with experience of Cardiology procedures and caring for the cardiology patient to join our team. Our department encompasses a 19 bedded Coronary Care Unit which is the PPCI Centre for Leicester, 28 bedded acute Cardiology Ward, Cardiac Elective Area with ring fenced beds.

Within the departments we pride ourselves on supporting colleagues therefore please note that full training and support will be given to the successful applicant. In-service training and clinical supervision across all areas.

Full and Part time positions available.

Main duties of the job

Our focus is to proved high quality care to our patients, many of whom have complex cardiology conditions. We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and dedicated registered nurse with a strong commitment to professional development and a passion for cardiology.

Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team including cardiac physiologists, radiographers, specialist nurses, medical colleagues and admin staff.
