Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is one of the largest acute Trusts in the country and we are seeking a confident, enthusiastic and motivated individual, based at Belgrave House on the Leicester General Hospital site.

This is an extremely demanding but diverse and interesting role. As a Corporate and Committee Services Officer, you will be responsible for providing a high-standard end-to-end committee servicing and corporate governance function to the Trust Board and Non-Executive Directors. The team is also responsible for the delivery of the Trust's statutory obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, and for a wide variety of other corporate administration and governance requirements including managing conflicts of interests in the NHS requirements.

You will have experience of committee administration and corporate governance work. You will be able to work in a high-pressure environment and will have excellent communication skills. You will also have highly developed interpersonal skills, the capacity to deal with highly sensitive situations and the ability to work effectively and professionally with colleagues across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

To deliver corporate committee administration within UHL, relating particularly to the Trust Board and Executive Boards, their statutory and standing [sub]Committees and any other related corporate decision-making bodies, as required

The Corporate and Committee Services team provides a high standard, end-to-end Executive Committee servicing and corporate governance function to the Trust Board and Non Executive Directors.

  • Honours Degree (Min 2:2) or Professional Qualification, eg ICSA or equivalent workplace experience.

Desirable

  • Has or is willing to undertake further professional qualifications relevant to role.

  • At least one year's continuous experience of corporate governance administration..
  • Ability to assimilate complex information and re-present it in a clear and logical way.
