Job summary
The role of Accommodation Assistant is to support the Accommodation Manager to deliver and maintain a cost effective and efficient residential accommodation service to all service users at the Leicester General and Glenfield General Hospital sites and through a nomination agreement with Sovereign Housing Group, accommodation for Trust employees at the Walnut Street residencies.
The Accommodation Department is part of the Estates & Facilities at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
The Accommodation Team are a friendly, hard working team that provide accommodation for staff members of the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and the Leicester Partnership Trust at all 3 hospitals.
Our aim is to provide safe, clean and affordable accommodation to all staff that require accommodation.
Main duties of the job
Optimise the relationship with tenants as customers of a high quality service
Maximise accommodation bookings to ensure income targets are achieved
Ensure all invoices are raised and presented to tenants in a timely manner ensuring all monies owed to the Trust are fully recovered
Ensure all payroll forms are raised correctly and sent to Payroll in a timely manner
Minimise void times through efficient letting processes
Manage waiting lists where appropriate
Manage and maintain all relevant data bases
Produce all tenancy documentation in a timely manner
Acknowledge and respond to complaints both formal and informal referring these for management attention/action if necessary.
Monitor property repairs and planned maintenance to ensure these are carried out in a timely manner.
Be responsible for ensuring that all tenants are notified by the end of February of the revised rent levels to be introduced from 1st April each year.
Assist the Accommodation Manager to monitor expenditure remains within allocated department budget and appropriately controlled
Assist the Accommodation Manager with the marketing of the residential accommodation to maximise income to the Trust
Carry out other duties deemed appropriate by the Accommodation Manager and within the scope of the post holders ability.
