Occupational Health play a great role in supporting organisations by giving high quality independent Occupational Health advice and providing advice and guidance on a wide range of work related issues.
It also provides a key role in ensuring staff are appropriately vaccinated and protected.
We are looking for a Apprentice administration assistant to learn to provide comprehensive clerical service across the Occupational Health Service. To learn and support the continuous provision of high quality, cost effective administrative support to medical/healthcare professionals, service users and OHS management.
To qualify for the apprenticeship role the minimum criteria is:-
You must have GCSE in English and Maths
Have not completed an apprenticeship at the same level and sector in the past.
You do not have a Degree in a similar or same subject
Main duties of the job
- Under the supervision of other admin staff, carry out reception and clerical duties as directed by Administration Lead
- Develop a working knowledge of Cohort (Occupational Health database)
- To develop the knowledge, skills and competencies with booking and managing clinic appointments in Cohort
- To learn to use Netcall to answer calls and queries coming in to OH
- Supporting the admin team with providing necessary relief cover for appropriate clerical work during school holidays and absence of colleagues.
- To help with the reception cover at our 3 sites as needed
- To gain confidence in dealing with visitors to the department and answering their queries in a professional, pleasant, and courteous manner, using tact and initiative.
- Ensure that consistently high standards of customer service are delivered to patients coming into the department.
- To develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies with using Microsoft products (Teams/Word etc)
