We are one of the largest tertiary cardiac departments in the UK, providing a full range of standard and complex, invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests routinely performing complex interventional techniques on adult and congenital patients.

Flagship projects include a new Children's Hospital, a new Maternity Hospital, a new Treatment Centre, and two new Intensive Care Units. Supporting the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) service you will ensure the smooth running of the home monitoring service and will download device information, interpret, analyse and review remote download device recordings for Implantable Loop recorders (ILRs) as well as assisting the catheter lab team during implantation of ILR's.

Main duties of the job

Join us as Assistant Cardiac Physiologist and you'll play a key role in making our service the very best it can be. We can offer on-going training and development opportunities and actively encourage continued professional development.

Supporting the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) service by ensuring the smooth running of the implantable loop recorder (ILR) home monitoring service.

Downloading patients' device information; interpreting, printing/uploading onto Fysicon database and filing in patient device notes.

Contacting patients and medical staff if any issues need further attention.

To provide clinical supervision to less experienced staff in own area of work, so supporting the devices service.

Provide training to less experienced staff, as directed by the Chief Cardiac Physiologist

To adhere to departmental policies and procedures, ensuring a quality service is maintained to patients, general practitioners and clinicians.

Participate in 7 day working including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays.

  • Higher National Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years current experience as a Cardiographer.
