Job summary
As a clinical specialist midwife in a continuity team you will provide care to a defined caseload of patients within a team continuity model, as described by Better Births (2016) in line with the ambition to reduce maternal and neonatal deaths, stillbirths and hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy.
In line with the Equity and Equality Strategy (2021) will provide safe maternity care for those living in the most deprived areas to achieve health outcomes that are as good as the groups with the best health outcomes. This will be piloted within the Skegness Continuity of Carer Team and rolled out to other areas where need is identified.

- oCan produce timely, accurate written/electronic documents.
- oTime Management and ability to prioritise workload.
- oAbility to provide emotional support- caring for women and staff in difficult circumstances as there will be constant exposure to difficult and sensitive information concerning vulnerable and abused children and complex child protection issues.
- oAct as an advocate for unborn/baby/child/mother where required.
