We have an exciting opportunity for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Technician at Band 4 level to join our friendly and dynamic team atPilgrim Hospital Boston and Trust wide.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking candidate to join us. If you are wanting to develop your knowledge on healthscreening services and are a team player then this could be the job for you.

The Lincolnshire AAA Screening Programme is a national programme that has an annual cohort of approximately 5,000 patients. We also runour own surveillance programme for those patients who have been diagnosed with an AAA. We currently screen in 10 locations county wide.

Main duties of the job

The primary purpose of this role is to undertake abdominal ultrasound scanning as part of the Lincolnshire AAA Screening Programme. The post holder will ensure abdominal ultrasound screening is undertaken to a high standard and in accordance with national standard operating procedures, following completion of the Health Screener Diploma.

The post holder will reassure men attending the Lincolnshire AAA Screening and surveillance clinics and explain the screening test to them. The post holder will ensure that the men attending these clinics are informed and aware of the implications of AAA Screening.
