Job summary

The Safeguarding team based at Lincoln county Hospital are looking to appoint a suitably experienced administrator to work within the safeguarding adult part of the team.

The areas of work covered within the team include Safeguarding Adults, Learning Disability and Autism, Dementia and Mental health

Main duties of the job

The worker will be responsible for recording and analysing safeguarding data, dealing with confidential records, database management , providing general support to the team in relation to general administrative duties, and providing first line contact for all enquiries, including Acute learning disability liaison via phone and email.

Experience of working in a health care environment and its IT systems would be advantageous although not essential

Because of the nature of the work, the successful candidate must be able to deal with work of an emotional nature with regular support and supervision available within the team

Qualifiications

Essential

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Be familiar with a variety of software packages including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets; NHS Spine systems
  • GCSE English Grade C or above (or equivalent qualification)
  • Good standard of English, to be able to spell and produce work with accurate grammar

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a safeguarding environment / Health care environment
  • Training experience / qualification or willingness to undertake

Experience

  • Good communication skills verbal and written
  • Good office management skills
  • Working knowledge of Safeguarding and its application within an Acute care Organisation

Desirable

  • Prior working within an NHS setting
  • Experience of delivering educational programmes
