Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Main Reception and Switchboard team at Pilgrim Hospital Boston.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work with a range of MS Office programs, as well as specialist software and hardware to carry out the full range of duties required. You must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, be able to demonstrate both the ability to prioritise tasks and the ability to work with minimum supervision, reporting to the Switchboard Supervisor.

You must be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to changes in workload/duties/priorities, and be able to demonstrate the ability to react sensitively to meet a wide range of differing needs together with a positive approach to team working and/or lone working and demonstrate a high standard of interpersonal skills. Ideally you will have experience of operating a switchboard system, and an understanding of excellent customer service - although this is not essential.

Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting is desirable. We can offer you an induction programme, followed by full training at one of our hospital sites, uniform, pension scheme and opportunities for career development within the NHS.
