Band 7 Team Lead for Outpatient Services - Boston

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Band 7 Physiotherapist to join the Outpatient Physiotherapy service at United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust. We are currently seeking an experienced physiotherapist to lead the outpatient team at the Pilgrim and Johnson Hospitals. Outpatient services includes musculoskeletal, pelvic health, neuro, respiratory, amputee and paediatrics.

We will consider a secondment opportunity for 6 months and a minimum of 22.5 hours for the right candidate

The successful candidate will manage the day to day operations of the physiotherapy outpatient department reporting to the site lead physiotherapy managers.

You will carry your own caseload within your outpatient specialism. You should be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge & evidence of CPD in physiotherapy & be prepared to lead and to contribute to our IST programme. Evidence of extensive post graduate experience of working in an Outpatient Physiotherapy environment is essential as-well as experience of leadership within a clinic team.

Main duties of the job

Undertake a team leader role in planning, co-ordinating, managing, delivering and evaluating Outpatient physiotherapy services within the Pilgrim and Johnson hospitals, ensuring good communication links with Outpatient Team Leads on other sites.

Take a major role in advanced assessment and treatment of Outpatients requiring rehabilitation with complex chronic or acute presentation and to determine clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment required.

Co-ordinate supervision, leadership, education, and appraisal of Band 5 & 6 Physiotherapists, Senior Physiotherapy Assistants, Physiotherapy Assistants, and assessment of Physiotherapy Students to graduate level, liaising with Universities as required.

Manage the performance of staff within the clinical team, and work with the Site Lead in order to manage the Physiotherapy Service performance within the Outpatient speciality.

Delivery of training to all Physiotherapy staff, in conjunction with Clinical Specialists.

Take a major role in conjunction with the Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists and Site Lead Physiotherapist to monitor and develop clinical standards, audit practice, develop the Outpatient physiotherapy service and ensure evidence based practice is followed.

Contribute to a seven day service working at most 1 weekend in 4 on the weekend orthopaedic rota.
