Job summary

Reporting to the Diagnostics Systems and Performance Manager the post holder(s) will provide technical operational support to the ULHT RIS/PACS service.

You will be the main technical point of contact for the trust, community users and members of the public for supporting the daily operations of mission critical systems. Responsible for technical issues in respect to queries on the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS), and the Radiology Information System (CRIS) Order Comms amd results reporting for the trust / Community users, and on occasion members of the public.

In essence, this post will provide the second line support for the day-to-day operation of the PACS team supporting broad range of users on our ICT/PACS systems and modalities.

The main function of the post is to act as our second line support, offering an onsite / remote presence to triage support incidents and requests. Provide systems training and support for Band II & III PACS staff as well as end users.

We are expanding our PACS team to support the Community Diagnostics Centres as well as the main site services across Lincolnshire with a view to support the 24/7/365 services that Clinical Support Services (Diagnostics) provide that form part of the Lincolnshire ICS. This will bring rotational working in time when staffing levels permit, this could involve evenings and weekend working once we have sufficient staff levels and so this post holder must consider this before applying

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent Diagnostics systems experience of 4 years

Desirable

  • ECDL or modern IT equivalent
  • ITIL Certified

Previous Experience

Essential

  • Experience in either an IT support role or healthcare role involving significant time working with complex IT systems
  • Experience of telephony helpdesk operations.

Desirable

  • Experience of helpdesk (LANDESK/Alemba) functions.
  • Previous experience working with RIS / PACS systems and the Image Exchange Portal

Skills, Knowledge & Aptitudes

Essential

  • Proficient in office automation systems, a good knowledge of Windows 10
  • Good interpersonal and explanatory skills in dealing with a mixed user skill base
  • Good verbal and written communication

Desirable

  • Familiarity with specific radiology systems such as Magentus CRIS Radiology Information Systems and GE Centricity PACS.
