We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work as a Secretarial Assistant for Urology within the Surgical Clinical Business Unit (UTOO) at Lincoln County Hospital.

The Medical Secretarial Assistant role is to provide general clerical support to the Medical Secretaries within Urology, ensuring a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service is provided to the medical staff and their supporting team. Working closely with Doctors, Nurses, Management, Speciality Coordinators, Medical Secretaries, and Administration Staff amongst the wider health care teams, you will help provide an accurate and comprehensive service. Working with the Speciality Coordinators regularly to ensure the whole of the patient pathway runs smoothly with minimal delays ensuring the Trust achieves locally and nationally agreed standards.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team player with good written and oral communication, and will require to have GCSE English and Maths grade C or equivalent. It is desirable that you have audio typing/word processing skills and that you are able to demonstrate a flexible approach to working, both in a team and on your own initiative.

Main duties of the job

Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Evidence of the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines PAS/Care Flow training & knowledge of Urology would be a benefit.
