Job summary

You will be the first point of contact for the trust and the community users and members of the public for supporting the daily operations of mission critical systems.

Responsible for triaging calls with respect to issues/queries on the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS), and the Radiology Information System (CRIS).for the trust and the community users, and on occasion members of the public.

The main function of the post is to act as our first line support, offering an onsite presence to triage support calls in person or via the phone/email/Microsoft teams and log them on our service desk software.

The post holder will report to, Diagnostics Systems and Performance Manager, however will receive daily supervision from the Deputy RIS/PACS Manager and the RIS/PACS Administrators.

We are expanding our PACS team to support the Community Diagnostics Centres as well as the main site services across Lincolnshire with a view to support the 24/7/365 services that Clinical Support Services (Diagnostics) provide that form part of the Lincolnshire ICS. This will bring rotational working in time when staffing levels permit, this could involve evenings and weekend working once we have sufficient staff levels and so this post holder must consider this before applying.

Main duties of the job

To provide first line support for the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Diagnostics systems helpdesk recording calls via the ICT LANDESK, for RIS/PACS/Breast PACS.

To support the Diagnostics Systems & Performance manager, Deputy RIS/PACS manager and the RIS/PACS Administrators in the effective day to day RIS/PACS service.

Review emails in the generic PACS Admin email and take appropriate actions.

To undertake the production of Encrypted CD burning of Diagnostics images/reports via the MARS systems.

To send images via C360 to key stakeholders.

To adhere to local policies/procedures and quality standards.

To provide effective support to the Diagnostics Systems and Performance Manager, RIS/PACS Systems Administrator, and provide holiday cover/sickness cover where appropriately trained.

To provide comprehensive administrative support to the team in respect to facilitating meetings as directed, taking minutes, on CDC project assignments

To action the daily Inter-trust image transfers via the Image Exchange Portal.

Work with 3rd Parties to resolve issues.

To attend Training when required.
