If so, we want you to apply for this exciting opportunity to be part of the International Onboarding Team to provide essential International Onboarding Support for 12 months.

We are working to improve the way we deliver safe, high-quality care and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about people and has the ability to aid the development and mentor others to facilitate the transition into the UK workforce for our new Internationally Educated Nurses, AHPs and Doctors.

This position is integral to supporting our International candidates with settling into the UK and the organisation whilst working towards national and regional objectives and organisational goals. Alongside the International Recruitment and Clinical Education teams these posts will offer essential pastoral care to our International candidates and support the Onboarding Lead Nurse with the development of the International Nurse programme.

We require an enthusiastic and motivated individual with strong communication skills. In return, the successful candidate can look forward to working in a professional environment with a team that is driven to deliver exceptional education and support to our International Candidates.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

  • Be a role model, working with staff to aid the smooth transition for all International candidates.
  • Working with and assisting the Clinical Education Nurses for On-boarding the post holder will be responsible for organising the orientation and induction of new International staff into the Trust, according to their specific needs.
  • This will include, arranging accommodation, room bookings, travel arrangements for which you will be expected to manage purchase orders and ensure timely authorisation of invoices.
  • Guide the Internationally Educated Nurses through the required OSCE process, dealing with the assessment test centres.
  • Report OSCE performance figures into the regional and national reporting via the International Recruitment Service Manager.
  • Foster and maintain professional relationships with all external stakeholders, including the NMC, HCPC, GMC, NHSE, and recruitment agencies.
  • Provide necessary information to the international nurses and all stakeholders to an excellent and accurate standard.
  • Support all new International candidates, providing comprehensive and constructive feedback / criticism where required, and escalating concerns to the appropriate manager.

We require an experienced administrator with knowledge of the International recruitment pathway who will require minimal supervision and is able to work effectively on their own.

Evidence of previous on-boarding experience is preferable.
