We have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, dedicated and patient focused Consultant ACP to join our established Respiratory service. You will work closely with all members of the medical team including contributing to the development of a highly skilled workforce. As a Consultant ACP you will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of local and national developments within the Respiratory specialty promoting evidence based research you will collaborate with other clinicians, professional organisations and partners to ensure ongoing high quality care and innovative practice.
As a Consultant ACP you will demonstrate a strong visible presence with junior members of the multi-disciplinary team developing a culture which facilitates learning and development across service and system.
The post holder will work closely with the University of Lincoln and the Trust ACP Lead to ensure a contemporary and fit for purpose curriculum is delivered locally.
For this post you should demonstrate a track record of developing patient focused services. You should have experience in designing, implementing and evaluating nursing developments.
Main duties of the job
The Consultant ACP will work within the Respiratory team as an expert practitioner demonstrating advanced knowledge and clinical expertise alongside medical and nursing colleagues, including the integration of research evidence into practice by expert clinical reasoning and decision making.
You will work autonomously and be able to competently assess, diagnose and manage the care and management of complex respiratory patients with potential lung cancer and pulmonary nodules. You will see new and follow up patients.
You will contribute to clinical governance within the service by leading audit and research as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering a high-quality service.
You will support consultants with day-to-day clinical activity (to be determined according to need of the specialist area.)
