GENERAL SURGERY

Applications are invited for the above posts at Lincoln County Hospital in an attractive rural area of South Lincolnshire joining a team of General Surgeon Doctors in modern and busy departments. There are excellent development opportunities to gain valuable and hands-on experience in General Surgery. Ideally, applicants should have previous experience in General Surgery. Applicants should be registered with the GMC or be qualified at an appropriate level in order to register with the GMC.

Main duties of the job
The on calls are busy and varied working on rota.
These posts are supported by Consultants and Specialty Doctors. The posts would be suitable for candidates wishing to pursue a surgical career.
This post provides opportunity to work in a busy District Hospital and mirrors responsibilities and training to that of rotation FY1 and FY2 attached to the Surgical Department, however this is not a recognised training post and will count towards service only.
This is an excellent opportunity for junior doctors who are looking to acquire relevant skills to develop further in their careers.
The successful candidates will be given an audit topic to complete during their period in post and candidates are encouraged to pursue any research interests that they may have.
