About the Role....
Suitable applicants may undertake duties within Ultrasound, MRI and CT areas of the department to support Radiographer colleagues but will be primarily within the general Xray Department.
Radiology provides 7-day cover and there is an expectation that the post holder will help cover for annual leave and sickness.
The successful applicant will assist with the transfer of patients to and from the wards when required, and support the Radiographer undertaking the Imaging investigation, assisting with manual handling, care for the patient during the patient's time in the General X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI or CT departments, and any other duties related to the provision of an efficient radiology service.
Main duties of the job
The Radiology Department at Pilgrim Hospital consists of MRI, CT, Ultrasound Interventional and General X-Ray services.
We perform approximately 120k examinations per year providing a 24-hour service. The general department carries out a wide range of procedures including plain film radiography, barium studies, A/E Trauma, theatre, dental and interventional fluoroscopy procedures.
The MRI, CT and Ultrasound departments carry out a wide range of scans are constantly developing and expanding their service provision.
