Job summary

The role of education and learning organisational development specialist (ELODDS) is to oversee and lead on the development, preparation and publishing of e-learning materials and other digital training packages at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

The post-holder will influence the development of strategies and the adoption of technologies that leverage digital media to instruct and educate staff across the organisation.

As ELODDS, you will provide leadership and advice on the development of digital learning objects in particular tracked learning resources such as SCORM eLearning modules. You will promote good practice in eLearning builds across ULHT and provide advice for any externally commissioned modules.

The post-holder will design, construct, and implement the Core / Core Plus Programme intranet and internet, web content, e-learning applications and other courses / programmes that support the Trust's objectives. The post-holder will also provide the end-user support for e-Learning.

The ELODDS will be involved in the delivery of clinical and non-clinical electronic education to over 8,000 members of staff across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

To write educational content in conjunction with the subject matter experts within ULHT to include e-Learning packages, clinical or non-clinical, as the main job responsibility, producing packages to strict deadlines while ensuring accuracy and clarity.

To develop high quality e-learning and other digital products, taking responsibility for the delivery of the development life cycle through all the project stages, from requirements specification through to sign-off then evaluate them to identify further improvements.To build on our current evidence base and evaluate how technological approaches to learning can continuously improve patient care.
