Job summary
Belton FAU (Name TBC) will be a multi purpose ward area home to Frailty SDEC patients comprising of 8 chairs operating in daytime hours, 8 frailty SDEC assessment beds and 8 low acuity inpatient medical beds.
The ward team will be newly formed and offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high quality nursing care to patients within an SDEC and assessment environment with the added experience of supporting inpatients with medical conditions and/or requiring rehabilitation.
There will be excellent MDT working with Occupational Therapists, Physios and Dieticians all based on the ward with Frailty ACP's that form the team in addition to the nursing workforce.
Main duties of the job
To Support the ward manger.
To support / facilitate staff development.
to ensure high standard of care maintained.
To provide professional leadership and effective management of staff and resources ensuring high standards of care and deputise for Ward Sister / Charge Nurse. To co-ordinate and deliver, appropriate teaching and education to all staff.
