Job summary
The Ophthalmology team at Lincoln County Hospital is extremely busy seeing patients both on an outpatient and inpatient basis. .
The Specialty Co-Ordinator is vital to the smooth running of the Department not only providing an efficient administrative service to the Consultants and their teams but line managing the medical secretaries and secretarial assistants in the team.
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Ophthalmology Team at Lincoln. If you consider yourself to be motivated, hard-working and a committed individual this is the role for you.
The role is full time at 37.5 hours but part time hours over 30 are also welcome to apply. The working days are Monday-Friday but hours from 8am - 6pm would be considered as well as offering an opportunity to work from home as well as from the base site office.
Main duties of the job
This role will be based at Lincoln covering 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday. 8.30am to 16.30pm
You need a sound administration background and be enthusiastic and committed to providing an excellent service to the Department.
Responsible for day to day line management of medical secretaries, secretarial assistants and elective access clerks including allocation and checking of work and training and development of staff.
