Job summary
Digby is a 28 bedded acute trauma orthopedic ward, that takes direct admissions from ED and clinics, we also care for patients with urology and general surgical conditions.
It provides the highest quality of nursing care to both male and female patients. Services include assessment, acute care and treatment for surgical and non surgical management for all types of orthopaedic and musculoskeltal injury. The ward provides nurses the opportunity to be involved in acute care of orthopaedic patients who often have multiple complex care needs. You will be part of the team , providing care for the patients journey from admission to discharge, through the assessment process and complex discharge planning.
Main duties of the job
We requireRegistered Nurses who are committed to providing a high standard of individualised patient-centred nursing care, through effective assessment, planning and delivery. They must be enthusiastic, motivated and able to respond positively to change in this busy surgical environment.The applicant should have excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to organise and prioritise workload.
We offer support, guidance and training relevant to the clinical area within a friendly patient centred environment, encouraging personal and professional development facilitated by our Deputy Sisters and Ward manager.
