This is a role that will continue to develop and grow with the service and requires the successful candidate to demonstrate: research skills, flexibility, strong communication and leadership.

The focus of the post will be to provide a comprehensive source of guidance for colleague wellbeing and to support the Head of Occupational Health & Wellbeing and Psychological / Counselling team, with the delivery of the health and wellbeing programme in line with the Trust's People Plan, and national and local guidelines.

This will be achieved by providing project, delivery, leadership and support to ensure health and wellbeing remains a key priority at the Trust

Main duties of the job

The Trust's Staff Wellbeing programme delivers a wide range of health and wellbeing initiatives to support the wellbeing of staff including;

  • Training and support for managers in looking after staff wellbeing
  • Access to support services such as our Staff Physiotherapist, Occupational Health, Financial wellbeing service
  • Lead the ULHT winter vaccine Covid19 and Flu programme and support the Hospital Hubs and Complex Clinics
  • Health promotion events including free health check-ups, support with smoking cessation, healthy eating and weightloss
  • Support the variety of emotional, psychological and mental health initiatives in the Trust

The post holder will lead on the delivery and development of the Trust's Staff Wellbeing programme and strategy to ensure ULHT remains an exemplar Trust. Also, be the Trust's Staff Wellbeing expert providing advice, guidance and ensuring that the Trust follows current best practice guidance.

The post holder will provide effective operational leadership and direction, managing a changing and expanding programme of work. They will provide line management and support to the multi-disciplinary Staff Wellbeing team as well as building credible and effective partnership work at all levels across the organisation to ensure the delivery of the Staff Wellbeing Strategy.

The post holder will be expected to work across all Trust sites as required and be expected to work flexibly.

  • University Degree in relevant subject i.e. health promotion, public health, Nursing or Midwifery, HWB related or equivalent qualification / training and experience
  • Working towards a post graduate masters qualification in a related subject
  • Post-graduate qualifications or equivalent health and wellbeing experience
  • Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development

Desirable

  • Working towards a post graduate masters qualification in a related subject
  • Qualification or equivalent experience in Project Management / Leadership
