Job summary
We are looking for housekeepers to join our existing team to help ensure all areas are kept to the highest standards of hygiene and appearance.
Week 1 Monday - Friday 7.00am - 1.15pm
Week 2 Monday - Thursday 7.00am -1.15pm and Sat 7.00am -1.15pm
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work using a variety of equipment in order to carry out the full range of cleaning services required. You must have experience in domestic environment, be able to follow written and verbal instructions regarding use of cleaning chemicals and will be able to demonstrate both the ability to prioritise tasks and the ability to work with minimum supervision, reporting to the Supervisor/Ward Sister.
You must be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to changes in workload/duties/priorities, and be able to demonstrate the ability to react sensitively to meet a wide range of differing needs together with a positive approach to team working and/or lone working and demonstrate a high standard of interpersonal skills. Ideally you will also have basic food hygiene knowledge, and an understanding of excellent customer service - although this is not essential.
Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting is desirable. We can offer you an induction programme, followed by full training, uniform, pension scheme and opportunities for career development within the NHS.
