Read what two of our previous Teaching Fellows have to say about the role:
My job as a clinical teaching fellow has been the most rewarding and fulfilling experience and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. I look forward to teaching a variety of medical students every day and the staff in the department make it such a warm and friendly environment to be in. The opportunities in this job are endless; from participating as examiners in finals to having clinical days (without rota commitments) to completing a masters- you really can tailor the job to your preferred interests which is the best part. The thing I value the most is the full flexibility in organising our teaching and autonomy in how we deliver it.
This job has been a great opportunity for me to develop valuable skills that go beyond those needed for working on the wards. At the same time, Ive been able to develop my medical CV through undertaking the fully-funded Masters in Medical Education. If you find teaching medical students rewarding, enjoy creating teaching resources and working in a close-knit team then youll enjoy this job as much as I do.
