Job summary
This is a whole time (10 Programmed activities) appointment as a full-time Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with special interest in PCI to complement the expertise of the other 15 Consultant Cardiologists at United Lincoln Hospitals NHS Trust. The post has no general medical commitment. The post will based at Lincoln County Hospital and have cross site responsibilities with a commitment to the PPCI rota which will be 1 in 8 with the appointment of this post. Cardiac Catheter lab sessions (2-3 per week) will be provided for the successful applicant at the Lincolnshire Heart Centre, based at Lincoln County Hospital. Another sub-specialty interest such as cardiac imaging (Cardiac CT or MRI) can be accommodated by mutual agreement. Comprehensive imaging, intervention and community heart failure links are available within the Trust
Main duties of the job
The main objectives of this post are to support the delivery of general cardiology at Lincoln County Hospital, and, in collaboration with colleagues, expand and develop the comprehensive PCI/PPCI Service across ULHT.
