START YOUR ADMIN CAREER WITH US! Our new talent schemes could kick start your future career.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Administration Apprentices to join our Talent Pool at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will embark on a comprehensive 15 month training programme working towards your Customer Service Level 2 apprenticeship.

Main duties of the job

You will initially be allocated to a lead department where you will work alongside colleagues delivering day to day administrative support. Following an initial induction period, you will then be required to undertake short-term placements across a wide range of departments within the hospital in order to provide foundation level administrative cover to address short-term and temporary staffing gaps. Each placement will be allocated by the Talent Academy to assist the Trust in filling its short-term absence whilst also allowing you to gain a broad range of knowledge, skills and competencies to support your onward progression and development. Full training and support will be provided throughout.

Your duties will include:

  • Accurately inputting confidential data using a variety of Trust IT systems in a timely way.
  • Preparing and scanning information onto the Trust IT systems.
  • Photocopying, distributing and filing documents as required.

About us

Whilst it cannot be guaranteed, our aim is to support every Apprentice to move into permanent post within the Trust prior to the end of their programme.

We currently have a high progression rate with over 98% of our previous Business Admin Apprentices being successful in securing permanent Band 2 positions within the Trust within the first 10 months on programme. It is our expectation therefore that our Business Administration Apprentices will be successful in gaining onward employment within the Trust from month 6 onwards of the programme.
