The Pharmacy department currently undertakes a 'top'up service to wards and departments and we are looking for individuals like you to join our friendly team.

The successful applicant will undertake a level 2 qualification in stock management

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will participate in the pharmacy "top-up" service, initially at Hull Royal Infirmary but this will expand to cover Castle Hill Hospital once trained. This involves visiting clinical area(s), identifying and documenting the quantity of stock that requires ordering, checking the expiry dates of stock held, and ensuring stock rotation when putting stock away

Ensuring wards and departments receive stock in a timely manner and are promptly notified of any shortages.

Support and/or participate in the processing of top-up requests and amendments from all clinical areas using the Pharmacy Computer System according to standard operating procedures.

Support and/or participate in the processing of ad-hoc requests / orders using the Pharmacy Computer System according to standard operating procedures.

Ward fluid top up

Recycling, picking, packing and dispatch of goods to wards and departments

May be required to assist in distribution when trained to do so

Will help to distribute drugs around Trust sites using trust transport when trained to do so

The ward stock assistants will work 4 hours a day, 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday and the hours can be tailored to individual needs between the times 7.30am - 2pm. The successful applicants will participate in the Bank Holiday working arrangements of the department
