An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 full-time HIV Clinical coordinator to join our established HIV nursing team within the infectious Diseases Unit at Castle Hill Hospital. We seek an enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable individual to join our team.
Working with the MDT to ensure ongoing service review and improvement.
The post holder will support the nurse and consultants in clinic obtaining venous samples and clinical observations
You will be based within a team but you must also be able to work independently and autonomously.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Specialists within the team to assist with the smooth running of the HIV service within the region.
They will work with the multidisciplinary team which includes Specialist Nurses, Consultants, Registrars, Pharmacists and Clinical Psychologists caring for people living with HIV.
Working closely alongside nursing colleagues the post holder will act as first point of contact for patient queries to ensure that they are answered in a timely fashion.
The post holder will actively participate in the provision of routine information and advice for patients verbally over the telephone or sending patient information as requested by the nursing team and provide an empathic and sensitive point of contact for patients.
They will work alongside administrative and managerial colleagues to monitor patient access plans and follow ups. Maintaining databases with patient information.
