Exciting opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic Registered Nursing Associates to join Hull University Teaching hospitals NHS Trust in a variety of clinical settings.

We are seeking hardworking, registered Nursing Associates to join our growing workforce. The Nursing Associate will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to support the Registered Nurses and other members of the healthcare team to deliver planned high quality, person centred care within the scope of the Nursing Associate role.

Hull University Teaching hospitals NHS Trust has a long history of supporting the Registered Nursing Associate role and we are looking for enthusiastic highly motivated applicants to join the growing community. The registered Nursing Associate will deliver care and treatment working within the standards of proficiency outlined by the Nursing Midwifery Council.

We are seeking individuals with excellent communication skills who are able to work using their own initiative, prioritise their workload and work well as part of a team.

Nursing Associates are expected to deliver planned care within the scope of their practice and escalate to Registered Nurses for advice as appropriate in accordance with trust policies and guidelines.

Main duties of the job

The nursing associate has a breadth of knowledge across all stages of life and across the fields of nursing, providing holistic and person centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. The nursing associate works independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working within the relevant scope of practice and within all aspects of the nursing process.

Nursing associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a Nursing Associate and will work to the NMC Code of Conduct and the Nursing Associate Standards of Proficiency.

The following criteria identify the core components of the roles, responsibilities and accountabilities of Nursing Associates. They identify what Nursing Associates can contribute to the health and wellbeing of patients and service users, and apply across all health and care settings. Integral to all of these is the ability to communicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion, and to manage relationships with people, making reasonable adjustments where necessary.
