Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic colleague to join our innovative, fully integrated Department of Infection. We would be happy to accept applications from an Infection qualified applicant holding FRCPath or equivalent, with or without a second CCT or those who expect to CCT within 6 months .

Main duties of the job

This is a substantive post with a primary focus on supporting our core activities. We currently need extra clinical time available for microbiology and laboratory-based practice and infection prevention and control; this could be part of the successful applicant's job or re-shared between current consultants by backfilling their current clinical duties, depending on the applicant's professional profile

Essential

  • Full specialist registration with a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC), or be eligible for registration within six months of interview. Specialist registration obtained via CESR is acceptable.
  • For consultant clinical scientists HCPC registration

Desirable

  • NHS experience

Qualifications
