Are you compassionate, organised, and passionate about helping others? We have an exciting opportunity for a Radiotherapy Clinical Support Worker to join our dedicated team at the Queen's Centre, Castle Hill Hospital - part of the Humber Health Partnership.

This role is vital in supporting patients throughout their radiotherapy journey. You'll work alongside therapeutic radiographers and the wider oncology team to provide hands-on care, reassurance, and practical support, ensuring every patient feels informed and cared for.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be involved in the direct care of all radiotherapy patients from being an active member of the pre-treatment team at the CT scan through to their treatment and its completion, providing technical treatment information and giving advice on radiotherapy reactions.

Cannulation and venipuncture competencies are required but can be gained once in the role.

The post holder will have CPD opportunities to allow them to keep up to date with radiotherapy advances, advice and information given to patients. They will also be involved in teaching of radiotherapy students and new staff.

The radiotherapy department is situated in the Queen's Centre and serves a catchment area of 1.2million people in Hull and the surrounding region. This is a UK Centre of Excellence for the treatment and care of patients with cancer and the Radiotherapy Department continues to develop its international reputation built on forward thinking and innovation.

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive induction to the radiotherapy department and training package to support their learning and development.
