As our Group EPR Programme Director, you will play a pivotal role in the procurement, implementation, and management of a new, integrated Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system across all Acute sites in the partnership. This is a key leadership position, responsible for delivering a seamless and innovative digital solution that will benefit both our staff and the patients we serve.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a visionary and experienced leader with a deep understanding of programme management in complex organisational settings. You should have the ability to inspire and engage teams, deliver large-scale system integration projects, and effectively communicate across all levels of the organisation.

Your Key Responsibilities

Leading the strategic 10-year programme to deliver a transformative EPR system, with a focus on achieving impactful outcomes, benefits, and objectives.

Managing a programme and systems budget exceeding £150 million, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.

Overseeing a team of direct reports and fostering collaboration across leads within multiple staffing groups and departments further engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.

Working closely with Senior Responsible Officers (SROs) and executive leads to establish and lead a Programme Management Office, ensuring the coherence and success of the programme.

Taking a lead role in corporate decision-making during your 2-year tenure, while driving the development, implementation, and monitoring of the programme strategy.

  • Master's degree or equivalent professional qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Health Leadership for digital change leaders or equivalent experience.
  • IT Service / project management qualification e.g. ITIL, MSCE, MSC or equivalent; MSP, PRINCE2 or similar Agile training or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of Continuous Personal Development.

  • Substantial experience of large (multi-£million) programmes, delivering Digitally enabled change across public and private sector contexts
  • Strong, in-depth, experience of working in technology in both healthcare and the wider public sector.
  • Extensive, in-depth experience of strategic financial management, with significant exposure to resourcing large and complex capital projects.
  • Experience in resolving major programme management, delays, technical and commercial issues in complicated financial transactions.
