The Humber Health Partnership are looking to recruit a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist for the Rapid Response team at Hull Royal Infirmary.
The post holder will work alongside colleagues to support the assessment of need across a range of clinical conditions with varying degrees of complexity. As a skilled therapist you will have direct input into the assessment and treatment of patients, delivering evidence based interventions to facilitate recovery, prevent deconditioning, promote well being and optimise independent functioning as far as reasonably possible in all areas of life; with a focus on facilitating timely discharges and preventing hospital admissions in the most acute clinical areas in the Trust.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking applicants with at least 12 months UK experience as a qualified Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist, who can demonstrate a sound clinical foundation in practice and is ready to make the step up to a Band 6 role. Applicants should be able to adapt quickly to changing work environments and work well within a team. You will be expected to be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and build networks to enable appropriate partnerships with other agencies involved in patient care to both identify and address immediate and ongoing needs.
The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the Ground Floor late shift rota until 8pm- utilising core assessment skills and positive risk taking to facilitate patient movement across the organisation.
The post holder will able to assess in an effective and timely manner within a rapid paced environment. Confidence in enabling patients in personalised care, assessment of capacity, cognitive assessments (for OT applicants), manual handling, functional assessments, and respiratory care (for Physiotherapy applicants) will be enhanced and nurtured within this role
Support will be provided to enhance operational management skills and the post holders will be supported to contribute to service planning, development and teaching. As a Senior Therapist, the post holder will aspire to be a role model for their team and pride themselves on delivering high quality care, motivating their team to do the same
