Job summary
An exciting opportunity is available working within the Endoscopy Decontamination Unit for the Humer Health Partnership. If you are hardworking, dedicated and like to care for patients behind the scenes this maybe the job for you! Our busy Endoscopy Decontamination Unit is set at three sites (Castle Hill Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary and at Sterile Services on Harrow St) and supports the care provided to patients within the Endoscopy Units. Full training on how to process endoscopes for use in a medical setting is provided and you must hold a clean driving licence.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will participate in the decontamination and processing of flexible endoscopes and the operation of machinery to ensure the safe and effective production of all goods received and dispatched from the reprocessing units.
This will involve the safe and secure transportation of contaminated devices into the department and the timely despatch of processed products to the procedure suits. The post holder will require a full driving license in order to drive a Trust vehicle to deliver and transport scopes within working hours. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all data is collected, in accordance with the units documented procedures and results processed and stored on a daily basis, work supervised and be accountable to the Senior Endoscopy Supervisor.
