Job summary
1 Full time (37.5 hours per week) post to work between Hull, East Riding, North and North East Lincolnshire, Primarily based in Hull Royal Infirmary.
The Humber Diabetic Eye Screening Programme provides a high performing photographic eye screening service for diabetic patients (approximately 63,000 patients) for the early detection of diabetic eye disease.
We are looking for an individual who is organised, self motivated and has a passion for collaborating with teams and individuals and driving forward change and improvement.
The post holder will support the Programme Manager in meeting screening objectives and performance targets including financial expenditure, cost control, quality and activity targets within the Humber Diabetic Eye Screening Programme. They will also contribute to the strategic direction of the service.
The post holder will be expected to show a high level of initiative across the full range of responsibilities with the ability to manage their own work load with minimal supervision. They will also need to be flexible and able to deal with changing priorities. Excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail and a passion for providing high quality customer care and service are crucial.Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and team working skills, together with an ability to prioritise workload and work flexibly under pressure to achieve deadlines.
Main duties of the job
Supports the Programme Manager in meeting screening objectives and performance targets including financial expenditure, cost control, quality and activity targets within the Humber Diabetic Eye Screening Programme.
Contributes to the strategic direction of the service. Assist in the implementation of new screening equipment and to support the Programme Manager in developing reporting systems to utilize the information systems for performance monitoring purposes.
Undertakes specific project work as identified by the Programme Manager.
The post holder will deputise for the Programme Manager in ensuring service continuity as per Operational Policy. The post holder will also contribute to the patient placement rota.
