Senior Occupational Health Nurse

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Occupational Health Nurse to come to work within the Trust's Occupational Health Team, with the aim of promoting a healthy workforce, maximising attendance levels and who can give specialist advice and guidance to managers and stakeholders. This busy and expanding department employs specialist nurses, registered nurses, Occupational Health physicians, counsellors and administrative support staff and provides a service to employees of the Trust and a number of small to medium workforces in the local community.

The role will incorporate the high-quality delivery of a full remit of Occupational Health services including sickness absence case management, health surveillance, health screening and infection control. You will be working within a SEQOHS accredited Occupational Health Department as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The hours are 22.5 hours a week to be worked between Monday to Friday during 8.30am to 4.30pm and the post-holder will be required to work at both the Castle Hill and Hull Royal Departments depending upon the needs of the Service

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for supporting the Head of Occupational Health Services in the delivery of a cost effective, quality multi-disciplinary Occupational Health Service.

The post holder will be a qualified Occupational Health Nurse with significant experience in the speciality and capable of providing a high standard of specialist care to employees of the trust and its external clients.

The post holder will be required to manage a designated caseload and provide advice to employees, managers and Human Resource colleagues on absence management and employee well-being at work. The post holder will be required to deputise for the Head of the Service on a rotational basis with other senior nurse colleagues during annual leave.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.
